Not sure what size cushions you’ll need? The ResMed AirFit™ X30i Starter Pack is ideal for anyone new to CPAP therapy or those unsure about their cushion size. It includes multiple nasal pillow sizes—small, medium, and large—allowing you to try each and determine the best fit for optimal comfort and seal. And the flexible spring-fit frame adjusts to your facial contours and is available in two frame sizes to ensure a personalized fit.

Designed for comfort and ease of use, the X30i features a top-of-head tube connection with dual side tubes to stay out of your way, no matter how you sleep. And a quick-release elbow at the top makes it easy to get up during the night without removing your entire mask.

Note: Before purchasing, make sure the magnets won’t interfere with any medical implants you may have, such as pacemakers and cochlear implants.

How It Works

  • Filtered air flows from the machine to the mask’s elbow piece at the top of the head.
  • The elbow connects two tubes that run down the side of your face, keeping them out of the way and allowing for more head-turning movement. 
  • Silicone pillows seal tightly under the nose and over the month to prevent air leakage.
  • A range of pillow and frame sizes and adjustable top and bottom straps ensure a proper fit.
  • Two magnetic clips secure or remove the mask, while the release at the top can separate the headgear from the device without having to remove the mask completely.

How to Use It

  1. Attach the CPAP hose to the quick-release elbow at the top of the mask.
  2. Position the cushion under your nose and over your mouth, then pull the headgear over your head.
  3. Use the magnetic clips to fasten the lower straps and adjust the top and side straps for a snug but comfortable fit.
  4. Turn on your CPAP machine and check for air leaks. Adjust the mask or straps if needed to ensure a proper seal.
  5. Use the quick-release elbow to easily disconnect from the machine without removing the mask entirely.
  6. Unclip the magnetic straps or slide the headgear off to take the mask off gently.

How do I clean my mask, and how often should I do it?

To keep your mask in good condition and avoid skin irritation, clean the cushion daily and the headgear, frame, and elbow weekly. Cleaning is quick and easy.

What you’ll need:

  • Warm, drinking-quality water (around 86°F/30°C)
  • Mild soap
  • Sink or tub
  • Clean towel

Cleaning steps:

  1. Disconnect the mask from your CPAP device.
  2. Take apart the mask by removing the headgear, cushion, and elbow.
  3. Gently wash all parts (except headgear) with warm water and soap.
  4. Rinse thoroughly and let all parts air-dry on a towel—avoid direct sunlight.

Can I use an ozone or UV cleaner with my mask?

No. ResMed masks are not validated for use with ozone or UV cleaning devices. These methods can discolor or damage the mask and may void the warranty. Stick to soap and water to keep your mask in top shape.

    Great mask and great seal

    I bought this mask after trying another mask and feeling like air was constantly blowing in my eyes and waking up with really dry eyes. I love the fit of the mask and that it has the nose pieces and I don’t get dry eyes like I did before. I love that the hose connects on the top since I roll around in my sleep. Only issue I have is the nose pieces even after trying multiple sizes makes my nostrils a little sore in the morning.

    Great Hybrid Mask

    As a full face mask wearer, I have been looking for something that's not so painful on the bridge of my nose. This mask is it. It has the best qualities of a nasal pillow and a full face mask. The starter pack is a perfect way to figure out which nasal pillow is best for you. If you are struggling like I was with an uncomfortable fit on the bridge of your nose, then try this mask.

    Great mask and great service

    still getting used to it

    I switched from nasal pillows (which I love) to this thinking it would help me with that middle-of-the-night awakening because my mouth opened or waking up in the morning with such a dry mouth. Unfortunately it hasn't been a smooth transition yet. The mask is quite cumbersome compared to the pillows and I am still struggling to find a good seal to my cheeks.

    Addressing Mouth Leaks with the AirFit x30i Mask and Coaching

    I recently started CPAP therapy and initially struggled with significant leaks using nasal pillows, as I found it difficult to keep my mouth closed. Traditional chin straps were not a comfortable option for me.

    The team at Sleep Doctor advised me to try the ResMed AirFit X30i mask, an oral-nasal hybrid design. This style is currently allowing me to effectively train to maintain mouth closure while sleeping without major leaks interrupting my night.

    Additionally, the guidance to focus on keeping my tongue to the roof of my mouth has improved the comfort of the airflow significantly.
