Product Details

The Luna G3 BiPAP 25A Machine from 3B Medical is a fixed-pressure device with one pressure setting for inhalations and another pressure setting for exhalations. An integrated humidifier moistens the air prior to delivery. You can customize the temperature and humidity levels with five settings apiece, and preheat water in the humidifier before going to bed.

The machine is equipped with an SD card reader that transmits data through traditional cell phone networks, so you can submit compliance data directly to your doctor.

This device should only be used with the mask and accessories manufactured or recommended by 3B Medical or with those recommended by your prescribing physician. The use of inappropriate masks and accessories may affect the performance of the device and impair the effectiveness of therapy.

  2. Scrub the interior of the hose with a tube brush to remove debris
  3. Rinse the hose with clean water to remove suds
  4. Hang the tube to dry on a towel rack

How is a BPAP machine different from a CPAP machine?

A bilevel positive airway pressure (BPAP or BiPAP) machine delivers two different air pressure levels—higher pressure when you inhale and lower pressure when you exhale. In contrast, a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machine provides a steady, constant pressure throughout the night. 

BPAP therapy is usually prescribed when CPAP therapy isn’t effective or well-tolerated. And because of their more advanced design, BPAP machines tend to be more expensive than CPAP models.

What are the benefits of a humidifier and heated tubing?

A humidifier and heated tubing warm and moisturize the pressurized air produced by your BPAP machine. This helps prevent problems like dry throat, irritated nasal passages, and congestion that can often occur with PAP therapy. Heated tubing also helps minimize rainout by preventing condensation in the hose.

How loud is the Luna G3 BPAP?

The Luna G3 BPAP generates just less than 26 decibels (dBA) of noise at its maximum volume. This is similar to the noise level of many other BPAP machines, so it generally will not sound any quieter or noisier than competing models.

Can I use the Luna G3 BPAP on an airplane?

The Luna G3 BPAP machine is not FAA-compliant and is therefore not approved for use on airplanes. In general, BPAP machines are meant for at-home use, unlike CPAP machines that can come in portable and travel-friendly designs.
