Product Details
The Intraoral Negative Air Pressure (iNAP) system is an alternative to traditional CPAP therapy. Instead of using a mask that sits under the nose or covers the face, the iNAP is placed inside the mouth. The device then uses gentle suction to pull the tongue forward and open up the airway to prevent apnea. The iNAP should only be used for patients without oral or dental issues who can breathe through their noses at night.
- Small oral device can feel more comfortable than a traditional CPAP mask for some users
- Uses intermittent negative airway pressure to keep the airway open
- iNAP Lab+ smartphone app allows users to track their treatment
- Device battery lasts 6 nights when fully charged
- Dimensions: 6 x 3.1 x 1.4 inches
- Weight: 0.47 pounds

I learned of the iNAP after I was first diagnosed with sleep apnea in early 2022. I loathed the idea of using a CPAP, with its bulkiness and that its use away from home required electricity, preventing me enjoying camping, hiking and other outdoor activities when I might be sleeping in a tent away from electricity. So I scoured the Internet for anything else that might work for me. I located information about iNAP and pursued a representative after I learned that iNAP wasn't yet formally approved in the U.S. nor on Medicare's radar, which only approved CPAP for reimbursement. I was willing to pay out-of-pocket for this yet-to-be approved alternative. A SOMNICS representative answered my inquiry. She was very helpful and answered all of my questions, which were many. She coached me through the entire process of purchasing to onboarding to testing the product. It has an app that can share data with iNAP to test/ensure it's doing its job while you sleep. I continue using iNAP and love how easy it is to use, clean, maintain and carry with me away from home. The tube and mouthpiece have to be replaced every 3 months, the cup every 6 months. It's very important that you read and follow all instructions. If you do, it's pretty much issue-free. And it's now approved in the U.S.

I tried this device. It didn't work for me. I had severe sleep apnea. It may work if you have mild or moderate sleep apnea

I’ve only had my iNAP for less than a week but I have to admit it’s easier to use than I thought it
would be. Device had plenty of instructions that were easy to follow. I am pleasantly surprised how
light it is, much lighter and about same size as an iPhone. I practiced using it during the day for a
few days. Did not take long to get used to. Was able to wear for a full nights sleep last night. Felt
Great this morning. Cleaning all parts was easy also. I am very pleased!
