We tested all three firmness levels and found that the medium firm (6) design appealed to the widest range of sleepers, particularly side sleepers of at least 130 pounds and back sleepers up to 230 pounds. The medium (5) model was most popular among side sleepers under 130 pounds, while back sleepers over 230 pounds preferred the firm (7) design.

Temperature control is another area where the Sapira Chill Hybrid shines. The foam layers have an open-cell composition, so bothersome heat buildup shouldn’t be an issue, while the cover is breathable and the coils promote steady air circulation. And while the coils are somewhat responsive, the mattress isolates motion pretty well – especially compared to other foam hybrids we’ve tested.

The balanced hybrid design integrates plush cushioning layers and a strong support system that benefits couples, hot sleepers, and people with back pain. The highest ratings on our team came from side sleepers who weigh at least 130 pounds, as well as back sleepers between 130 and 230 pounds and stomach sleepers under 130 pounds.

Temperature control is another area where the DreamCloud performs well. This can be attributed to steady air circulation through the coils, as well as a breathable cover that helps the surface stay cool. Our temperature sensors picked up very little heat buildup.

Our testers found that the steady air circulation through the coil layer helped the mattress maintain a comfortable temperature. Another cooling component is the cover made of Tencel. This breathable, eucalyptus-derived fabric has moisture-wicking properties to keep you dry while you sleep.

Our team tested all four of the WinkBed’s firmness levels. The medium soft model received its best ratings from side and back sleepers weighing less than 130 pounds. The most popular model was the medium firm. Side sleepers weighing 130 to 230 pounds and back and stomach sleepers weighing less than 230 pounds all found this design exceptionally comfortable. You’ll notice some contouring and cushioning, but the foams won’t hug you like memory foam or trap as much heat. Our testers found that the medium soft model conforms the closest, the firm barely molds to your body at all, and the medium firm is a “best of both worlds” option for those seeking a balanced sleep surface.

With more than 4 inches of foam padding in its comfort system, the Premier Hybrid feels plusher and more adaptive than the average coil mattress. We noticed very little movement transferring on the surface when testing the hybrid for motion isolation, and most of our testers felt minimal pressure buildup in their shoulders, lower back, and hips.

This can be beneficial if your sleep quality is suffering due to painful pressure points building up in your shoulders, lower back, or hips. You can choose from three firmness levels to further optimize your sleep surface.

During hands-on tests, we found the medium (5) Elite Hybrid well-equipped for side sleepers up to 230 pounds, who often enjoy a close contour from their mattress. Heavier side sleepers and back sleepers under 130 pounds felt more comfortable on the medium firm (6), which is slightly more supportive and provides less of a "hug." If you're a back or stomach sleeper over who weighs 130 pounds or more, chances are you'll prefer the strong reinforcement of the firm (8) model.

Thanks to its thick comfort layers, the Elite Hybrid isolates motion better than the average hybrid. The same is true of its pressure-relieving abilities. At the same time, the zoned transitional foam and pocketed coils do a good job of pushing back against the heavier areas of your body and keeping you on an even plane from head to toe. Edge support is another major strength – especially for the firm model.

The latter is divided into five zones based on density, so it feels firmer and more supportive beneath your torso and hips. A cooling cover woven with Celliant fibers helps the mattress maintain a comfortable surface temperature.

In the support core, pocketed coils and dense base foam stabilize the mattress. The coils are also zoned for targeted midsection support, and reinforced along the perimeter to protect the edges from compression when you get in and out of bed.

Side sleepers over 230 pounds and back sleepers up to 230 pounds should be good candidates for the medium firm (6) design, which lightly contours and feels very stable around the midsection. Back and stomach sleepers who weigh more than 230 pounds will probably find the firm (8) model comfortable and adequately supportive. 

Since the Evolution 15's comfort system contains 7 inches of foam padding, the mattress excels at motion isolation and pressure relief – two performance areas where other hybrids struggle. The foam layers also share an open-cell composition, so bothersome heat buildup shouldn't be an issue. 

How Does It Feel?

The Evolution 15's four foam layers are progressively denser from top to bottom, resulting in a plush feel when you get into bed and some pushback against your weight as your body settles into the mattress. You'll notice some contouring, but the polyfoam doesn't adapt to your figure to the same extent as memory foam – this means you shouldn't feel stuck when changing sleep positions throughout the night.

Zoned pocketed coils with a reinforced perimeter ensure excellent overall stability for the Evolution 15. An organic cotton cover woven with cooling ArcticTex fibers encases the mattress. At 15 inches thick, the Evolution is on the taller side and will need a deep-pocket fitted sheet.
