The ResMed AirFit F30i is a minimal-contact full face CPAP mask with a top-of-head hose connection that keeps tubing out of the way and gives you the freedom to change positions throughout the night.

Its low-profile, UltraCompact silicone cushion rests just beneath the nostrils, reducing pressure, preventing red marks, and offering a clearer line of sight for reading, watching TV, or wearing glasses. Other convenient features include magnetic headgear clips for easy on/off and a quick-release elbow for effortless disconnection without removing the entire mask.

Important Update: In December 2023, the FDA issued a recall of this product to alert customers that the magnetic clips may interfere with the performance of certain metallic medical devices. Patients should not use this mask if they or someone close by has any of these devices implanted in their body.

Care

Daily

  1. Disassemble the mask, separating the cushion, frame, and headgear.
  2. Gently hand-wash the cushion and frame (not the headgear) in warm water with mild, fragrance-free soap.
  3. Rinse all washed parts under running water to remove all soap residue.
  4. Lay the parts flat on a clean towel, away from direct sunlight, to fully air dry before reassembly.


Weekly

  1. Disassemble the mask, separating the cushion, frame, and headgear.
  2. Look for any signs of damage or wear on the cushion, frame, and headgear and replace parts as needed.
  3. Gently hand-wash all parts in warm water with mild, fragrance-free soap.
  4. Use a soft brush (like a toothbrush) to remove any debris from the exhalation vent and top-of-head elbow connector.
  5. Rinse all washed parts, then lay flat to air-dry, away from direct sunlight, before reassembling.

How It Works

The AirFit F30i delivers pressurized air through both the nose and mouth. Its innovative design places the hose connection at the top of the head, allowing air to flow through the hollow frame and into the cushion without getting in the way. The UltraCompact cushion sits securely under the nose and over the mouth, creating a reliable seal without covering the bridge of the nose.

How to Use It

  1. Ensure the cushion is securely attached to the frame and the headgear is connected properly.
  2. Place the top-of-head tube connector over your head, then bring the cushion under your nose and over your mouth.
  3. Pull the headgear down and around the back of your head, adjusting the straps evenly for a snug but comfortable fit.
  4. Attach your CPAP tubing to the top-of-head connector.
  5. Lie down in your normal sleeping position, turn on your CPAP machine, and breathe normally.

    very comfy

    I'm new to CPAP therapy so I dont have any experience with different masks, but this one is very comfortable and I havent had too many issues with leaks or anything like that. very easy to clean and isn't a pain to wear.

    Uncomfortable, Terrible Mask

    This mask is truly awful. It was recommended to me because it is supposedly good for mouth-breathers. The mask was way too small. The stupid swivel at the top almost immediately broke out of the O-ring at the top and would not stay inserted. I eventually had to jury-rig a direct flow, completely negating the alleged benefit of the swivel. Further, imagine having a hard piece of plastic shoved into the top of your skull why plastic pinched your cheeks painfully—all night long.

    I am truly disappointed. Don’t waste the money on this travesty. I was so excited to get a CPAP and to get my apnea under control, but this mask has me ready to abandon ever trying to get healthy sleep. Snoring and gasping for air are better!

    This is my favorite of all the masks I have tried. It is less cumbersome than most full-face masks, making it easier to wear for a longer period of time. I recommend it for open-mouth sleepers such as myself.
