The SleepOn M2 Anti-Snoring Mouthpiece is a compact, customizable device designed to reduce snoring by gently advancing the lower jaw and keeping the airway open during sleep. Its slim, lightweight design enhances comfort, while the boil-and-bite fitting process allows for a personalized fit tailored to your bite.

With adjustable lower jaw positioning and a low-profile feel, the M2 is ideal for users seeking a non-invasive, travel-friendly solution to snoring.

Key Benefits

  • Reduces or Eliminates Snoring: With adjustable settings, the device gradually shifts the lower jaw forward to keep the airway open and reduce snoring—sometimes from the first night, though many users see improvement as adjustments are made over time.
  • Protects Against Teeth Grinding: The device acts as a barrier, helping prevent the wear and damage caused by nighttime teeth grinding and clenching—common but often unnoticed behaviors among people who snore or have sleep apnea.
  • Custom Fit for Lasting Comfort: The boil-and-bite design allows for a personalized, secure fit that molds to the user’s bite at home. Its slim, lightweight profile sits discreetly in the mouth, making it easier to wear comfortably throughout the night.

Do not use if you:

  • Have central sleep apnea (CSA)
  • Are under the age of 18
  • Have a history of temporomandibular disorder (TMD or TMJ)
  • Have a respiratory disorder
  • Have loose teeth, abscesses, severe gum disease, or advanced periodontal disease
  • Wear dentures, braces, or other dental appliances
  • Have implants, crowns, or caps, unless approved by their dentist

How It Works

The SleepOn M2 works by gently advancing the lower jaw during sleep to help keep the airway open and reduce snoring. This positioning prevents the soft tissues at the back of the throat from collapsing, a common cause of airway obstruction and vibration.

The device is custom-fitted using a simple boil-and-bite process and includes adjustable settings that allow users to gradually move the jaw forward until the most effective position is found.

How to Use It

  1. Mold the device to your mouth using the boil-and-bite method (instructions included).
  2. Adjust the lower jaw setting using the advancement mechanism to gradually move the jaw forward and reduce snoring.
  3. Wear the device nightly during sleep for best results.
  4. Every morning, clean with cool or lukewarm water and the cleaning brush (included).

Get all your questions answered

Do mouthpieces work for snoring?

Yes, mouthguards can help reduce snoring. Mouthguards like the Somnofit-S are mandibular advancement devices (MADs), meaning they physically push the tongue and lower jaw forward to widen your airway. This decreases the vibrations that can cause snoring when the airway is narrower.

Are snoring mouthpieces bad for teeth?

No, anti-snoring mouthpieces are not necessarily bad for your teeth, but you may experience some discomfort – especially after using the mouthpiece for an extended period of time. Complications that can occur include changes to your bite, tooth movement, and jaw soreness. People with loose teeth or dental implants should not use an anti-snoring mouthpiece without approval from their dentist.

Do snoring mouthpieces work for sleep apnea?

Yes, mouthpieces can reduce snoring caused by obstructive sleep apnea (OSA). Mouthpieces like the ApneaRx are mandibular advancement devices (MADs) that physically push the tongue and lower jaw forward to expand the airway and minimize the vibrations that cause snoring. However, an anti-snoring mouthpiece cannot treat OSA on its own – additional treatments such as CPAP therapy may be needed for people with this medical condition.

What is the best mouthpiece for snoring?

The best sleep apnea mouthpiece varies from sleeper to sleeper. Some people prefer mandibular advancement devices (MADs) that physically push the jaw forward, though these mouthpieces can cause jaw pain and stiffness. Others feel more comfortable using tongue-retaining devices (TRDs) that hold the tongue in place without advancing the jaw, but most of these mouthpieces cannot be customized and they can restrict breathing through the mouth.

Ultimately, you should try an MAD and a TRD to decide which type of mouthpiece is best for you. Your doctor, and possibly your dentist, can help you determine the best options.

Can I re-mold the device if I don’t get it right the first time?

Yes, if you don’t achieve a proper fit on the first try, simply repeat the boil-and-bite process as instructed. Just be sure to follow the temperature and timing guidelines closely to avoid damaging the device. Do no mold more than twice.

How do I adjust the device?

Start by setting the device to 1 mm in the first week to acclimate. In subsequent weeks, gradually advance 1 mm per week until you notice reduced snoring or better morning rest — your "sweet spot."

To adjust, hold the upper tray over the “PUSH” label, apply gentle pressure, and slide the lower tray forward or backward; it will lock into place once released. Aim for just enough forward movement so your tongue doesn’t block your airway when you’re fully relaxed at night.

Are there any side effects from using M2?

Most users find the M2 comfortable, especially after a short adjustment period. However, because the device gently moves the jaw forward, some people may initially experience mild discomfort, usually in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) just in front of the ears. This typically fades with regular use.

Other temporary effects can include excess saliva or slight tooth sensitivity, which also tend to improve over time. In rare cases, long-term use may lead to minor tooth movement or bite changes. Regular check-ins with your dentist can help monitor and manage any changes early.

How do I know if M2 is working?

If the M2 is working effectively, you should notice a reduction—or complete stop—in snoring. If you're using it for sleep apnea, you may also experience improvements in daytime alertness, reduced fatigue, and better overall sleep quality.

For a more definitive assessment, your doctor may recommend a follow-up sleep study while wearing the device. If the study shows improvement in your sleep apnea, continued nightly use is encouraged. If not, your doctor may suggest alternative treatments, such as CPAP therapy.

Surely it can't be this easy??

After spending a long time single, and sleeping alone, long story short I had someone sleep over and tell me that I was snoring quite violently all night-- which I had no idea, as it was never a problem for me in years past. The joys of getting older. I talked to my doctor who scheduled me for a sleep study and said that I would likely need a CPAP machine etc etc. I guess my phone was spying on me and sent me ads for this anti-snoring mouthpiece so for the price I thought I would give it a try... I've been using an app to monitor and record my snoring and from the very first night, zero snores. I had my new sleeping partner over again to verify. No snores. I'm already waking up feeling more refreshed and can't wait to see how it feels after a couple of weeks of decent night sleep while breathing. I've also canceled the sleep study. It seems like it can't be this easy but so far it seems to be just that. Very grateful I gave this product a try.

    Working so far!

Since I’m using, I don’t wake up with horrible headaches. It is a bit big for my little mouth, wish they had a male / female version. My teeth are a little sore when I wake up but i guess it’s because it’s holding them instead of grinding them. The CPAP didn’t work for me so hopefully now that I’m in a quiet Environment, this will calm down my sleep apnea and will continue to work.

    Does the job

I have both a SnoreRx and the M2. The M2 works better for me. The SnoreRx has vertical movement, which is nice but the device comes off the teeth when the mouth opens too much. If worn with a chin strap or “hostage tape” it works fine but cancels the vertical movement. The M2 is tighter on my teeth and rarely comes off.

    A Mixed Bag

My wife has noticed me snoring more as we go into allergy season. I wanted a cheap way to try to help, so I bought this. There are pros and cons, and I haven't made up my mind about the product yet.

Pros: 1) It's easy to set up. 2) She has noticed less snoring for the week I've used it.

Cons: 1) It's awkward and painful when you start using it. It's made it difficult to go to sleep. Almost every morning, I wake up with the mouthpiece on my pillow or bed. My guess is that I'm pulling or spitting it out in my sleep. 2) It has an adjustment system to hold your jaw in a comfortable, correct place. It comes set at one. However, it doesn't hold at one and I wake up with it set somewhere from two to four. 3) I'm still snoring a little. My wife says the sounds have changed and it's more like wheezing and gargling. It's less, but there's still noise.

Evaluation: I wanted something cheap to "stop" my snoring. I ended up with something cheap that has "lessened" my snoring, albeit with some pain and awkwardness. I think three stars is a fair grade at this point.
