The G3X is the latest PAP device from Luna and the first standard-size device that doesn’t use polyurethane sound-dampening foam available in the U.S. The no-foam design makes for quieter operation without the safety concerns that emerged after the Phillips recall.

Daily

  1. Humidifier Chamber: After each night of use, pour out any remaining water from the humidifier tank. Rinse with warm water and let air-dry. Only use distilled water in the chamber.
  2. Mask: Use a mild, non-alcohol cleanser or wipe on your mask cushion and frame to remove oils, dust, and other residue.
  3. Hose: Hang your tubing to allow any remaining moisture to evaporate before your next use.

Weekly

  1. Mask: Disassemble the mask and wash with warm water and a gentle, CPAP-safe soap. Rinse well and let fully dry away from direct sunlight.
  2. Humidifier Chamber: Wash the humidifier chamber with warm water and a mild soap, rinse thoroughly, and allow to air-dry completely.
  3. Hose: Detach the tubing and rinse with warm water. Use a mild soap and scrub the interior with a tube brush. Hang to air-dry before reconnecting.
  4. Filters: Check the disposable filters and replace if they appear discolored or clogged. If your G3X uses reusable filters, rinse and let them air-dry before reinserting. Replace reusable air filters every 6 months and disposable filters every 2 weeks.

What is the difference between the Luna G3 and Luna G3X APAP?

The Luna G3 and Luna G3X APAP machines offer many of the same core features, including automatic pressure adjustment, integrated humidification, and compatibility with standard CPAP masks. The Luna G3X is a newer version that uses an updated internal design and does not use polyurethane sound-abatement foam, while still maintaining quiet operation and reliable therapy performance.

Do I need to use both filters with the Luna G3X APAP?

The Luna G3X APAP machine should not be used with only the disposable filter installed. The machine must be used with the reusable foam filter, either by itself or together with the disposable filter. Both filters are included with the device so users can install them according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.

Does the Luna G3X APAP machine have Wi-Fi?

No, the Luna G3X APAP machine does not include Wi-Fi connectivity. Instead, it uses a cellular module to transmit therapy data. This allows healthcare providers to remotely monitor usage and treatment data without requiring a home Wi-Fi connection.

What is the Delay Off feature on the Luna G3X APAP?

The Delay Off feature allows the machine to continue running briefly after it is turned off. When the top button is pressed, the machine continues delivering air at a low pressure of about 3 cm H2O for up to 15 minutes to help clear moisture from the tubing and mask. A countdown timer appears on the display while this process runs.
