Some of What You’ll Learn in Sleep Drink Breathe

Can I take naps?

Napping can help you pay off some sleep debt. If you plan naps strategically based on your chronorhythm. Keep naps short and sweet.

Why is hydration so important?

We need water because we are water. The human body is 60 percent water. Along with blood and lymph- 80 and 90 percent respectively. Your muscles are mostly water too, at 76 percent. 75 percent of your brain and heart are made of water. One of the driest parts of your body, your skeleton, is 22 percent water. Even fat is 10-30 percent water.

What actually happens when I breathe?

Breathing is a two-step process of inhaling oxygen and exhaling carbon dioxide, aka, “gas exchange.” Every breath is filtered by the mucus in your nose, mouth, and airways to catch pollutants and antigens. Once oxygen reaches the lungs, it’s sent to the bloodstream to be delivered all over the body.
